Hello! My name is Winn West and my pronouns are they/him. I graduated at 20 from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in June of 2023 with my BFA in Story and Concept for Animation, with a double minor in Storyboarding and Drawing.

I got into storytelling because I wanted to be able to see myself in media. I never got to see myself in media growing up, I always felt disconnected from the cishet neurotypical crowd. And as storytelling has become a huge way for me to cope with my anxiety, I push to tell stories that I can see myself in. That my siblings and cousins can see themselves in. I especially love telling stories through the combination of animation and music. I was classically trained in piano since I was four, and continue to play to this day as piano also helps me cope.

Up until SCAD, I was a self-taught artist. Everything I knew was learned through trial and error. I first attended SCAD at Rising Star of 2019, and continued from there through eStar and eventually to my first proper undergrad classes in the Fall of 2020. Up until college, I was homeschooled and attended a local homeschool co-op for my high school classes. I also attended local colleges for Dual Enrollment classes starting my sophomore year of high school.

I tend to work best in a co-leader position. Having helped raise my three younger siblings, I've learned many skills in the area of helping leadership corral people and keep things moving smoothly. I love working with people, and love to learn about other peoples' experiences with life.
